On September 4, 2023, Keio Center for Strategy (KCS) held the third Keio Strategic Forum (KSF) titled, “AUKUS facing difficulties.”
Following the keynote speech by Professor Michito Tsuruoka, Deputy Director of KCS and an expert on European security and NATO affairs, participants engaged in an open discussion on the topic.
Professor Tsuruoka provided an in-depth explanation of the AUKUS security pact, formed by the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, covering aspects from the agreement’s overview to its challenges. The implication of this partnership for Japan was also considered, prompting participants to exchange opinions from various perspectives.
